Inter comeback in a 2-2 draw against the French giants Lyon in their fourth pre-season match. The Nerazzurri were struggling to finish their chances. They gave Lyon too much time and space as Inter were not looking to press. Inzaghi decided to start the duo of Lukaku and Lautaro along with the preferred midfield three. Onana started between the posts and made a mistake which led to the second goal.
Lukaku had a chance right at the start of the first half from Dumfries’ cross. But his header went straight into the hands of Lopes. Lyon had the majority of the possession as Inter were letting them rotate the ball comfortably. Onana made his first save around the 20th minute as Toko Ekambi fired his shot from the right.
Dimarco had a chance to open the scoring as Dumfries found him in the box. But the Italian could not curve the ball inside the net. Lyon scored their first goal against the run of play as Paqueta found Lacazette in the box, who placed his header.

Lyon started the second half on the front foot as they did not take much time to double their lead. Paqueta hit the left post in transition. Onana decided to close him down, but the ball went to Cherki after hitting the post. The French forward comfortably found the net to make it 2-0.
Inter gave a quick reply as they pushed numbers forward, and Calhanoglu found Lautaro. The Argentine’s shot was blocked by Lopes but the ball went to Dimarco, who found Lukaku. The Belgian did not miss the target this time and got Inter back in the game. Dimarco was playing brilliantly in the left wing-back role as he was continuously supplying pinpoint crosses in the box.
Lautaro provided an assist in the 65th minute to Barella with the outside of his boot. The Italian midfielder kept his composure when Lopes came out, and he chipped it over to make it 2-2. Inzaghi then made some changes as Skriniar and Gosens got some game time after coming back. However, Inter could not find a winner.
