Inter eye Pavard as Skriniar’s replacement

Inter eye Pavard as Skriniar’s replacement

Inter Milan eye Benjamin Pavard as they will lose Milan Skriniar on a free transfer in the summer. The Nerazzurri have a tough job to replace the Slovenian defender in the back. Skriniar has been a key figure in the heart of the defense, so Inter are struggling to find a viable replacement with a low budget. Bayern Munich’s defender Pavard will be out of contract in 2024. So Inter will make a move for him in the summer.
The German giants have signed Joao Cancelo on a loan deal with a buy option. So they could sign the Portuguese defender and let go of Pavard in the summer. Also, Bayern are reluctant to give another deal to the French defender. So the Bavarians will not lose him on a free transfer, and Inter will get Pavard at a low transfer fee. Pavard has the experience and is a brilliant defender on the right side of the back three.

Inter Milan eye Pavard to replace Skriniar in the summer

The Nerazzurri are keeping the Slovenian defender for six more months as PSG’s bid got rejected by Inter on the deadline day. Now, they have six months to search for a perfect replacement for Skriniar. But they have budget constraints, and losing him on a free transfer is a big blow for Inter. They could have received a reasonable amount for him in the summer. Pavard has a similar profile like Skriniar, he can move up the pitch to create overloads on the right flank.

The Nerazzurri are also looking to sign more defenders, as De Vrij and Acerbi could leave in the summer. Inter need defenders that have the pace to track back in transition. Pavard has lost his pace over the years, and that would be the only drawback if Inter signs him.
