Inter pre-season 2020/21 fixtures are out. In the same breath, the Nerazzurri will play two games before the start of the season. Between the two games is a joint training session with another team. Inter will have a delayed start to their campaign as CEO Beppe Marotta requested the League for it in August. Marotta’s concerns about rising coronavirus cases among players and staff and the fact that Inter played in the Europa League final just a few weeks ago prompted the move. Thus, Inter will adjust their one week delay with a mid-week fixture in the future. Therefore, here’s Inter’s pre-season schedule.
|Date||Fixture/ Joint Training Session||Venue, Time|
|15 September||Inter vs Lugano||Suning Training Centre, 17:00 CEST|
|18 September||Inter vs Carrarese (Jt training)||Suning Training Centre, 17:00 CEST|
|19 September||Inter vs Pisa||San Siro, 18 CEST|
Inter pre-season 2020/21 to prepare for a fast start?
Last season, Conte’s side won their first 6 games in the Serie A. This time around, Conte will be hoping to better the feat. Moreover, Inter are looking to settle as a squad in the pre-season fixtures to perform well when the season starts. The Nerazzurri will play Fiorentina at the San Siro on September 26. Furthermore, the first fixture will be followed by two quick ones. Firstly, the away match against Benevento on September 30. Secondly, the much-fancied away fixture against Lazio on October 4. Conte is very well aware that it will not be an easy task to play three matches in just more than a week. Also, the additions of Achraf Hakimi and Alexsander Kolarov in key positions will take time to settle.
Antonio Conte will want the arrival of Arturo Vidal and other transfer targets to be quick. Subsequently, Vidal will be eager to test the waters in the friendlies before playing a very important role in the matches. Lastly, Inter pre-season 2020/21 can shape the destiny of the season.
