Inter Milan now target David De Gea as Bayern are unwilling to sell Yann Sommer. The Nerazzurri are struggling to find a goalkeeper for the next season, and with both Handanovic and Onana gone, they have to move quickly. However, their main transfer target Yann Sommer might not leave Bayern, as the Bundesliga giants want to keep him.
After Andre Onana’s move to Manchester United, Inter are eyeing the former Red Devil David De Gea. Despite his recent struggles at United, the Spanish keeper has the quality to play for a top club. However, he will be a significant downgrade over Onana as he is poor with the ball at his feet and has a limited range of passing.
The Nerazzurri will have to adapt their style of play if they sign De Gea. The former United keeper is poor under pressure and usually goes long during the build-up. Moreover, his long balls are not accurate like Onana, so Inter might struggle in building out from the back. However, he is still an excellent shot-stopper but is inconsistent with his form.
Inter target De Gea as Yann Sommer’s alternative
The Nerazzurri are searching for other options as Sommer’s move is getting complicated. The Swiss keeper’s release clause of €6 million has expired. Meanwhile, Inter do not want to spend more than €4 million to acquire him. Sommer has already agreed to the personal terms with Inter and is not participating in friendly games with Bayern. But the Bundesliga giants want to keep him as Neuer does not guarantee full fitness over the long season.
Inter Milan are also looking at Trubin, as they need a couple of keepers to replace both Handanovic and Onana. However, both Inter and Shakhtar have a difference in evaluation as the Nerazzurri are willing to give €10 million, while the Ukranian club want €20 million.
