Juan Cuadrado arrives at Inter to undergo his medicals and sign the contract. The Colombian wing-back will be signing a one-year contract with the Nerazzurri. Despite being linked with Saudi clubs, Cuadrado decided to move for much less wages. The former Juve wing-back decided to reject €8 million salary per season from Saudi.
Many Inter fans have not welcomed Juan Cuadrado’s signing as the Colombian always caused some trouble in the Derby d’Italia. The Curva Nord has displayed statements saying that Cuadrado will have to prove himself at the Nerazzurri to get their affection.
Inter have been looking for a wing-back after Bellanova decided not to stay at Inter for another season. The Italian defender was on loan from Cagliari and wanted to move to a club that offered him more game time. Bellanova had some brilliant cameos in the season, but he was not ready to start ahead of Dumfries or Darmian. So the former Cagliari defender moved to Torino in a permanent move.

The Nerazzurri have increased their transfer pull in this window after winning the Champions League. Players like Cuadrado hate Inter on the pitch, but with Inter’s recent success, the former Juve winger decided to make the switch.
Cuadrado will provide Inter with a different dimension going forward. After Perisic’s departure, Inter did not have a player that had flair and the ability to dribble past defenders. Dimarco, Dumfries, and Darmian are direct with their approach. But Cuadrado’s skills and ball-holding capabilities can create space for other teammates.
However, Cuadrado might not get regular game time as Dumfries will be the preferred choice to start the majority of the games. But Cuadrado has immense experience in Serie A, and he will settle in quickly at the Nerazzurri.
