Inter will earn €20 million from new shirt sponsor

Inter Milan will earn around €20 million per season from the new shirt sponsor. The deal has a fixed amount and some bonuses. As reported by today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport. Also, the new sponsors are now widely believed to be the blockchain fan engagement company Socios.com. Further, Inter have ended their long partnership with Pirelli and they will be getting more revenue from the new deal. Pirelli have been Inter’s shirt sponsor for 27 long years. Many Inter fans have Pirelli’s name printed in their memories but now Socios.com most likely will be replacing them.

In Europe, Pirelli has been one of the longest sponsors and some players and fans would be emotional with Pirelli’s departure. Inter had a €10 million deal with them and Pirelli have confirmed in March that they will not renew their contract. The new deal with Socios.com will give Inter’s finance a boost.

Inter were looking for a sponsorship deal worth closer to €30 million but they could not get a suitable company with that offer. So, the Chinese property developer Evergrande Group and the electronics company Samsung were in talks. But, Socios.com owner Chiliz agreed for €20 million. Inter had to take a loan this season from Oak Tree capital of €275 million to increase their liquidity. Inter will have to repay that loan or the Oak Tree capital could take over Suning’s shares at Inter Milan. Suning are restricted to invest in Inter Milan because of the Chinese government policy. They want to develop their team and want their investors to invest in their clubs.

Inter will look to play this season with a new logo, a new sponsor and a new design in jersey as they have snakeskin print over it.
