Liverpool eye Brozovic after injury issues in midfield

Liverpool eye Brozovic as they look to improve their midfield options after injuries to Thiago and Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Reds want to challenge for every trophy this season after missing out on the Champions League and Premier League last season. But they are facing some injury issues in the midfield area, and are looking to sign Brozovic from Inter. The Croatian has been pivotal for Inter’s success recently and plays a vital role in Inzaghi’s system.

The Reds played a 2-2 draw in their first match against Fulham in the Premier League. To make matters worse, Thiago limped off the field, and the reports say he has a hamstring injury that will take around six weeks to recover. Liverpool faces their rivals Manchester United soon and Klopp needs a midfielder to help his side. Curtis Jones is out as well because of his calf injury. So the German manager is looking to sign a midfielder that will add quality in the middle of the park.

Currently, Liverpool have Henderson, Fabinho, and Milner fit for the next game. Kieta might recover in time, but Klopp does not want to risk him. The existing midfield lacks creativity, and Klopp needs a player like Thiago, who has exceptional passing range. Hence, Liverpool are going after Brozovic as he can help them in switching the play and give control in the midfield. The Croatian is not a direct replacement for Thiago, but he will help the Reds on both sides of the pitch.

Inzaghi considers Brozovic untouchable and would like to keep him at all costs. Liverpool are reportedly trying to lure Inter with a swap deal including Firmino and Kieta. Inter have struggled in the past with Brozovic’s absence, so they would like to keep him. Klopp also said that he does not want to buy a player in panic and will find a solution.
