Monaco and Inter eye Balogun and enter bidding war

Monaco and Inter Milan eye Folarin Balogun as both clubs want a striker in this summer transfer window. Inter were close to completing the signing of Gianluca Scamacca, but Atalanta hijacked that deal by giving a better offer to West Ham. The Nerazzurri are now at risk to lose another target as Monaco have made a formal offer to sign the Arsenal striker.

Inter will have to move fast in their pursuit of Folarin Balogun as Monaco are ready with their offer. The French giants are looking for Breel Embolo’s replacement as Monaco forward will miss most of the season through injury. Monaco want to wrap up the transfer soon as they are without their main striker.

Inter Milan have been searching for several strikers to support Thuram and Lautaro in the forward line. Inzaghi was keen to get Alvaro Morata, but his transfer did not happen as Atletico did not want to sell him. Moreover, his release clause was high and Inter did not want to spend most of their budget on him.

According to reports, a €30 million bid has been put to the table by Monaco. However, the Gunners were quick to reject this bid as they value their prodigy striker at least €40 million. However, Arsenal are willing to lower their price if they do not find a suitable offer till the end of the transfer window.

Balogun has been a prime target of Inter as the directors like his profile. However, the Nerazzurri too, can not meet Arsenal’s evaluation at €40 million. But they have agreed terms with the American striker. Lens are also eyeing him as Lois Openda’s replacement.
