Andre Onana to Man United is in the final stages now, and the deal could be sealed soon. Inter are waiting on the improved offer from the Red Devils, and will then move for the replacements. Inter were adamant about their evaluation of €60 million, but are now willing to sell the former Ajax keeper for €55 million. Man United will send their improved bid soon with a €50 million fixed transfer fee upfront and a bonus of €5 million in add-ons.
The Nerazzurri are targeting a couple of players to help between the posts and fill the shoes of Onana. Yann Sommer and Anatolji Trubin are the ideal candidates. Inter will make a move for them after Onana’s deal is over the line. With the departure of Handanovic, Inter will have to sign two keepers for the next season.
Erik Ten Hag has personally pushed for Onana’s transfer. He helped the Red Devils in agreeing the personal terms with the Cameroonian keeper. Onana played under the Dutch manager in Ajax, and both have a strong bond, which will soon make the reunion happen.
Onana to Man United in final stages as Inter target Sommer and Trubin
The Nerazzurri will have little to no trouble in getting Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich. The Swiss keeper is searching for a new club as Manuel Neuer is back. Sommer was brought to Bayern to help the Bundesliga giants as Neuer was out due to injury. Sommer has a release clause of €6 million, and Inter can afford to sign him after selling Onana.
The former Gladbach keeper is one of the best keepers in the Bundesliga and will be an excellent addition in the short term. However, Inter will face difficulties in the pursuit of Trubin. Shakhtar are demanding €30 million, which is thrice more than Inter would like to pay.
