Samir Handanovic bids farewell to Inter as the Nerazzurri captain did not renew his deal. The Slovenian keeper held his position between the posts for Inter for more than a decade. He joined Inter in the summer of 2012 and took the baton from Julio Cesar. Handanovic proved to be a brilliant successor to the Brazilian keeper and will go down as a legend in the Nerazzurri books.
Handanovic did not participate enough last season with Onana being the first-choice keeper. Inzaghi did start the Nerazzurri captain in the earlier games to settle the former Ajax keeper. But apart from a couple of games in Coppa Italia, Handanovic remained on the bench.
