Alexis Sanchez hints at Inter exit as he is not getting enough game time. The Chilean has only played 70 minutes under Simeone Inzaghi. With Dzeko, Lautaro and Correa at Inzaghi’s disposal, Sanchez is out of favour currently. Also, the 32-year old was suffering from an injury in a Copa America match. So, he was unable to play in the first few games. During that time, Correa and Dzeko gave brilliant performances and hence Inzaghi did not look to start Sanchez over them. Due to his lack of playing time, Sanchez decided to post on Instagram where he said that he has realized that he can be worth a lot. Further, he said that, but if you are at the wrong place, you are never going to shine. But, that post was soon deleted by Sanchez.
Sanchez came to this team under Conte and gave some impactful performances from the bench. But he started to become more injury-prone and could get regular playing time. Still, Conte had faith in him and decided to keep him despite his huge wages. Sanchez did give Inter some crucial goals and assists but he was not a proper backup to Lukaku or Lautaro. And after Lukaku left, Dzeko and Correa have done a good job so far. Hence, Inzaghi prefers them over Sanchez.
Alexis Sanchez hints at Inter exit as he wants more game time
Inzaghi has used his subs perfectly so far for Inter. He has changed the momentum of the game by bringing in his substitutes. Against Sassuolo, he used all 5 subs but did not bring Sanchez. The Chilean was upset about that but Inzaghi did what he felt was best for the team. And Inter managed to make a comeback to beat Sassuolo 2-1.
Both Sanchez and Inter might look to part ways next season or even in the winter transfer window. Inter want to reduce their wage bill while Sanchez wants to get more game time.
