Skriniar will extend contract if PSG don’t offer €70 million

Milan Skriniar will extend his contract with Inter if Paris Saint Germain will not meet Inter’s demand. The Parisians are willing to pay only €50 million for the Inter defender. The Nerazzurri will not accept any offer below €70 million for Skriniar. The Slovenian defender’s contract will expire next season so Inter will look to extend his contract if he stays. Also, they will increase his wages as Skriniar has been one of the best defenders in Serie A.

The French giants have been after Skriniar for a long time, but they have not made a serious bid yet. Inter were firm with their €80 million price tag, but they have come down to €70 million now. However, Inter Milan will not go below that and want a straight cash deal for Skriniar. Paris Saint Germain were willing to add Draxler or Dagba in the deal, but Inter refused it.

Inter Milan do not want to sell Skriniar but they have to generate profit before June 2023. So, Inter are willing to turn down PSG’s bid as they have enough time to sell him. Also, many other clubs are keen to get the Inter defender as he can improve the backline of any club in Europe. Chelsea are also in the race to get him as they desperately need a defender in this window. The Blues have lost Rudiger and Christensen to the La Liga giants and are now looking to fill the gap in the squad.

Skriniar still has prime years in front of him and Inter have set the right price tag on him. If he stays, then Inter might look to sell Stefan De Vrij as he was inconsistent last season. Also, to bring Bremer, Inter need some funds from this window.
