Vidal leaves Inter after terminating his Inter Milan contract with mutual consent. The Chilean midfielder will join Flamengo till December 2023. Vidal won several trophies with Inter including Scudetto and helped Inter by adding experience in the midfield. According to reports, the Chilean will receive €4 million as a severance package. His contract was about to expire next year in June but both club and Vidal decided to part ways.
Vidal was in Flamengo with his agents a few days back as he was trying to complete his move to the Brazilian club. He loves Flamengo and the fans were delighted to have him as they swamped the airport. Inter were trying to offload him as he has big wages and was no longer a part of Inzaghi’s setup. The Italian tactician has brought a couple of midfielders already that will suit his system. Also, Vidal was no longer able to play for the full 90 minutes and was an unused sub in most games.

Vidal was a regular starter under Conte as he liked his style. Conte needed an experienced midfielder who could help the team on both ends of the pitch. Vidal was crucial in both phases and had the engine to run up and down. However, after Eriksen settled in the team, Vidal moved to the bench. But Chilean played his part in the Scudetto triumph. He scored goals in important games like against Juve and made crucial tackles.
Vidal did not hide his intention to join Flamengo as he said that it is the best club in Brazil. Also, he is now looking to make his name outside Europe and is looking forward to Copa Libertadores. Moreover, his Chilean teammate, Sanchez could join the Brazilian club as well.
