Tottenham to bid for Skriniar this January as Inter are ready to let go. Inter desperately need the money and have offered a deal to Tottenham. The Slovakia international has been a top performer for Inter and can prove to be an excellent addition to any top club in Europe. However, Tottenham would have to bid goodbye to their key player Jan Vertonghen. This way another signing in defence will make sense.

Tottenham had placed a bid on Skriniar in the summer window but could not get through. Finally, Spurs have a golden chance to obtain a two-way benefit. First, they can finally get Skriniar in their squad, whom they wanted. Secondly, they’re getting to have the top-notch player at a lower bid. Inter offered to seal the deal at €50M-60M. However, Inter are ready to allow Skriniar’s transfer to Tottenham at €45M.

Tottenham to bid for Skriniar: Will Inter regret this deal?

After launching a bid for Skriniar in summer and failing to get the deal over the line, Tottenham went on to sign Joe Rodon instead. Skriniar has played for Inter this season each time he has been fit. The once out of form defender is finding his form with Inter churning in back to back wins. But, his frequent slip-ups are not going unnoticed either. If Inter really want to offload him, they’ll need a better player to replace him as a wide centre back. And wide centre backs with Skriniar’s qualities are not easy to find.

The €45M deal is Tottenham’s key to securing a deal they won’t regret. While Skriniar admires Mourinho on another level, no one’s sure if he wants to leave Inter. Tottenham to bid for Skriniar in January but if Inter are looking to cash in on Skriniar eventually, they must look to go big. Manchester United and Liverpool are among a whole host of clubs looking to sign Skriniar. And letting one of their defensive pillars go for just €45M will be a mistake on Inter’s part.
