Zanetti speaks out on Lukaku as the Belgian striker decided to make a move to their rivals Juventus behind their back. The Vice-president of Inter was not happy with the way Lukaku had talked with the Bianconeri behind their back without informing them. Moreover, Zanetti was furious that Lukaku betrayed them after all the faith the club showed towards him.
The Nerazzurri legend did not like how Lukaku decided to convey his decision. The club are open to departures, but the Belgian striker did talk about his move away beforehand. Zanetti hoped that Lukaku will set an example for others as he was one of the leaders of the team. Moreover, the club helped him during his recovery as Lukake suffered his worst injury last season.
The former Man United striker was out for months and did not help Inter. Also, his performance in the Champions League final was one of the main reasons for Inter’s defeat. Lukaku missed big chances and did not contribute enough. Inter are now looking at other options in the market, who can replace him.

Inter are now looking forward to the season with the players that are convinced to stay at the club. Zanetti does not want to have negativity in the dressing room, as Lukaku did not set a good example for other players. The Nerazzurri were having talks with Chelsea to renew a new loan deal for him. Also, Lukaku wanted to continue at Inter, but since they can not afford to acquire him permanently, he decided to have talks with other clubs.
The Nerazzurri are eyeing several forwards for his position. Scamacca’s deal fell through as Atalanta hijacked. But Inter have Balogun on their radar from Arsenal. However, Monaco are also keen to sign him and have proposed an offer to the Gunners.
