Bayern Munich want Perisic to replace Costa

Bayern Munich want Perisic as they are looking for a replacement for Douglas Costa. Costa is leaving Munich to join Brazilian club Gremio. Further, Perisic has made 42 appearances and scored 4 goals, and providing five assists for Inter. However, the numbers do not do justice to his form for the club. Conte used all his players effectively this season and Perisic’s played an important role in the Serie A win. Perisic usually plays as a winger, but he can also play as an attacking midfielder and a second striker.

Perisic started his career in football with a local club. He supported the club while growing up and joined their youth team. He played for Hajduk Split. However, soon after, he received offers from Anderlecht, PSV. Ajax, Hertha BSC and Hamburger SV. In 2009, he joined Club Brugge for a €250,000 transfer fee and on a three-year contract. He played for Borussia Dortmund and VFL Wolfsburg before finally joining Inter in 2015. The Croatian footballer joined Bayern on loan in the 2019-20 season. He was an irreplaceable part of Bayern’s treble-win. While they wanted to sign him permanently, they failed to negotiate with Inter and he returned back to the Nerazzurri.

Bayern Munich want Perisic, Eintracht and Leipzig also have eyes on him

While Bayern failed to sign the Croatian in the last transfer window, this might be their chance. The Nerazzurri are aiming to collect €100 million from player sales this season before buying new players. In fact, Conte might be the next Spurs manager and he has also kept Perisic in his demands. However, Bayern haven’t approached Perisic’s agent as of now.

Fellow Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin has also been eyeing the 32-year old. Thus, they have to be ready to face competition in the summer window. The Croatian still has fuel left in him and is a target for many clubs ahead of the transfer window. But will the Nerazzurri let go of him yet?
