Chelsea eye Hakimi and Martinez after their UEFA Champions League victory. Thomas Tuchel’s side won 1-0 against Pep Guardiola’s Man City. Chelsea will need some new players for the next season if they want to continue their domination in Europe. Both Hakimi and Martinez have had a great season with Inter this year and Tuchel would like to have them on his side.
Also, the timing is perfect as Inter are struggling financially and are looking to sell players this summer. Only issue is that many clubs are keen on these players. PSG and Bayern are keen on Hakimi too. With former more likely to make a bid, but Inter wants 70-80 million euros for him. While two Spanish giants, namely Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are keen on Lautaro Martinez.
Chelsea eye Hakimi and Martinez after being shutdown for Lukaku
Both Achraf Hakimi and Lautaro Martinez can fit into any team. Chelsea need a backup for their right wing-back, Reece James. Although Hakimi is too good to be a backup, so he will give tough competition to Reece James in that position. While Lautaro can start as a striker because Werner has not scored many goals this season. He has missed a lot of chances. So Lautaro can start ahead of him if they are able to sign him.
Chelsea were also keen on Romelu Lukaku’s return. But Inter have said that Lukaku is untouchable and will not be sold. There were some rumours saying that Lukaku might want to leave as Conte left too. But the Belgian is in Simone Inzaghi’s plans. Inzaghi is the new coach for Inter. Lukaku is very important for Inter and he had a brilliant season as well by helping Inter to win the Serie A title. He is also the Serie A player of the year.
