Dumfries to sign for Inter Milan from PSV Eindhoven as the Dutch side has agreed to Inter Milan’s bid. Inter made an official bid of €12 million but PSV asked for more so they will get €2.5 million add-ons. The Dutch full-back was eager to join Inter Milan and had agreed to personal terms before. He came to Milan last night and will now begin his medicals. Last night at Linate Airport he said to the reporters that he is very happy, hungry and ready to achieve success at Inter Milan. Dumfries was trying to make this move happen and even trained alone at PSV. They were ready to sell him this summer but Inter were offering a loan deal for him previously which the Dutch side did accept.
Inter Milan’s priority was Denzel Dumfries as they wanted the most suitable replacement for Achraf Hakimi. The Dutch international is quite similar to Hakimi as he is quick and likes to go forward. Inter decided to buy him permanently after selling Lukaku to Chelsea. The Nerazzurri had several players on their radar, like Nandez from Cagliari, Hector Bellerin from Arsenal and Hans Hateboer from Atalanta. But they feel that Dumfries will be the best fit for their team. Inter will also sign Edin Dzeko soon who will be their replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

Denzel Dumfries had a great season with PSV Eindhoven and was very impressive in the UEFA Euros 2020 for the Netherlands. Many top European clubs gave him offers but the 25-year old only wanted to join Inter Milan. So, he rejected all the other offers and came to Milan immediately after both the clubs reached an agreement.
Inter Milan will play a friendly match with Dynamo Kyiv tomorrow.
