Inter can sell Skriniar or one of the other two defenders. Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni are also on the radar. Inter have significant teamwork throughout the season. In fact, the defenders have proven to be very important this season. They have scored 29 goals in 34 appearances for the club this season. However, amidst Suning’s financial crisis, the club might bid goodbye to one of these players.

Milan Skriniar came to Inter Milan back in 2017 from Sampdoria. Inter paid a reported fee of €20 million for a five-year contract along with striker Gianluca Caprari. Skriniar became the most expensive Slovak player of all time after this transfer. The Slovak started his football career with FK Žiar nad Hronom. After this, he joined the youth setup of MSK Zilina at age 12. Further, he went out on loan to Zlaté Moravce to gain first-team experience. Although in 2016, Sampdoria signed him on a four-and-a-half-year contract. He has been a part of Inter since 2017 and has made important contributions to the club.

Skriniar almost completed a move to Tottenham Spurs at the beginning of the season. However, Conte stopped the move. Since the Slovak could fit well into the 3-man defense system. However, the move was initiated in the first place due to the differences between the two. Finally, Conte succeeded in keeping him back at the club. On top of that, the Spurs offered a €30 million offer for the center-back. However, Inter put a €43 million tag on the Slovak.

Skriniar has not only gained experience but also fame during this season. This will profit Inter. The trio, Skriniar, de Vrij, and Bastoni have played crucial roles for the Nerazzurri this season. However, due to the financial struggles, one of them might not be with Inter in the next season.
