Inter Milan can terminate Arturo Vidal’s contract this summer as the player is not in the plans of the club going forward. As reported in the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. So, Inter Milan are trying to reach an agreement with his agents to end his contract and leave the Chilean as a free agent. Vidal came to Inter Milan from Barcelona after an average season with them. He played many matches in the start but did not have much impact in the game. He then had some injury struggles and was out for a lot of matches in the second half of the season.
Vidal’s performance was not up to the mark as the Chilean used to lose his stamina soon. He was aggressive and made some silly challenges which got him suspended for some games as well. He also got a red card against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Inter got out of the competition in the group stage itself. The 34-year old was sloppy with his passing as well and often lost possession in the crucial positions. He was soon out of favour from Conte, who liked him a lot. He could not show his best form due to his fitness issues as well. Vidal in his prime was a complete midfielder. But now Inter have better options in their team and would like to use them in this season.
Inter can terminate Vidal’s contract as he does not fit in Nerazzurri’s plans
Inter Milan are trying to find a way so that they do not have to pay the net €6.5 million in wages on his final year of the contract. But, the Nerazzurri are struggling to find a new club for him. Some clubs are keen, but they can not pay his wages.
So Inter will try to find a way to mutually terminate the contract.
