Romelu Lukaku’s Belgium will face Italy in the quarter-finals of the Euros 2020. The Red Devils had a close match against Portugal. Thorgan Hazard scored a thumping goal at the end of the first half. And the Belgian side were able to defend their lead in the second half. Now Lukaku will meet two of his Inter teammates, Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni in the quarter-final. As Italy won their match against Austria in extra time and will now face Belgium.
Meanwhile, Stefan De Vrij will not advance in Euros as they lost to the Czech Republic in the round of 16. The Netherlands were the favourites in this fixture but the match changed completely when Matthijs De Ligt got a red card and they got down to 10 men. Czech took advantage of that and Holes and Schick scored 2 goals to knock out the Netherlands.

Portugal were the defending champions and were a tough opponent for Belgium. Both the teams were conservative in the start as they did not look to press high. And when they got the ball they tried to move it sideways and find space. Renato Sanches was particularly good in the midfield as he was getting Portugal forward and dribbling past the Belgian midfield. While Diogo Jota had a bad game as he could not finish in a couple of occasions which cost them the game. De Bruyne and Eden Hazard have suffered serious injury and will be in doubt for the next game. While Thorgan Hazard scored a brilliant long-range goal which will take them to the quarter-finals.
While Italy had to hang till the end in the extra time to get the win over Austria in the round of 16. As both the teams could not score in the 90 minutes.
