Napoli eye Sanchez to improve their attack

Napoli eye Alexis Sanchez to improve their frontline as Mertens and Insigne have left the club. The Partenopei are looking to sign a quality forward to replace them and have inquired about Sanchez. Inter are trying hard to sell Sanchez, but the Chilean is reluctant to leave. He wants the right project and a club that will pay for his high wages. Inter will have to terminate his contract if he does not leave as they can not afford to keep him on the wage bill.

Napoli have lost two of their key forwards as Insigne went to Toronto FC, while Mertens is a free agent now. Sanchez can help the Partenopei in attack and will bring the essential experience they need in front. The Chilean can play as a false nine as well, so he can be a backup to Osihmen. Inter will think twice before giving him to Napoli as they are the rivals. But they are desperate to offload the Chilean in this window.

According to reports, Inter will have to pay around €8 million if they terminate the Chilean forward’s contract. Napoli can get him for no transfer fee as Inter just want to get rid of his wages. After the departure of Insigne and Mertens, Napoli have the room to accommodate Sanchez’s wages. He can form a brilliant duo with Osihmen at the front. Sanchez will add something different to the attack and can help in creating chances.

The Chilean forward has a couple of offers on the table from Villarreal and Marseille, but he is not keen to join them. Sanchez has already rejected multiple offers including one from Flamengo. The Chilean will like the idea to go to Napoli as he can remain in Italy and compete in Champions League football.
